New Petri Style Resin Cabochon - Tree of Life Pendant

The first of many new petri art resin cabochons wrapped in a sterling silver tree of life pendant. This unique, OOAK (one-of-a-kind) tree of life pendant features my weaved bale design and was constructed with sterling silver wire. To accentuate the wrapped wire of the tree of life, I applied an antique finish and then polished the high areas to a bright luster.

Moonstone Necklace With Sterling Silver Wire Wrapped Tree of Life

Taking photographs of moonstone can be very difficult. To get the moonstone to glow requires low indirect lighting. But when you get the moonstone to flash under low lighting, the wire wrapped tree of life doesn't stand out well. So you have to position your lighting until you find a happy medium. Usually the moonstone cabochon or the wire wrapping may suffer slightly in the photograph. This one came out pretty well. I can tell ya though, if you see it in real life, it looks way better. The above handmade wire wrapped tree of life pendant with moonstone was taken with slightly more direct light. Hence why you see the white reflection of the lighting. This photography of the wire pendant is what I used to showcase the necklace. Photographing jewelry can be very hard. Especially when you have a flashy moonstone or a flashy labradorite!

In the above photograph I move the lights so they where more indirect. Doing this made the patina in the wrapped wire stand out more. It also makes the moonstone have a more crystal appearance.

Changing the background you use to photograph jewelry also has an affect on the shiny sterling silver. I'm still using indirect lighting in the photograph of the pendant. With this dark red stained wood as a background, I'm able to capture the dark shadows in the wire wrapped tree of life.

I always try to include a photograph of my jewelry with a white background. When I do this, a lot of times it makes the sterling silver look a little yellow.

Dried Flowers & Resin - Tree of Life Necklace Pendant - Handmade Jewelry by Tim Whetsel

I was taking a hike in the mountains on the Skyline Trail in Southern California and found these beautiful dried wild flowers. I picked a bunch and brought them home and cast them in some resin. The cabochons came out awesome! Here is a sterling silver tree of life pendant made with my new wild flowers cabochon. It came out so well that I made 5 more of these resin and wildflower cabochons. If this one is sold out, please contact me to have a custom made wire wrapped tree of life pendant made just for you!

Frameless Tree of Life Necklace Pendants

 Tree of Life Necklace Pendants
I made a trio of frameless tree of life pendants. Each tree of life pendant is wrapped in .925 sterling silver wire. These do not have a bezel(frame) like the majority of my handmade jewelry designs. The bale was weaved with one of my weaved bale designs. These three tree of life pendants are of my smaller and simple wire wrapped pendant designs. Below are the three tree of life pendants up close.

Silver Tree of Life Pendant with Purple Orgonite

Wire Weave Bale - Tree of Life - Purple Orgonite

First ever sterling silver tree of life pendant with my new wire weave bale design. The orgonite is one of the new purple ones I've made. For some reason it's hard to capture all the shades of purple with a camera. Plus all the sparkles in the orgonite. The patina in the bale really brings out and gives depth to the weaved wire in the bale. I think I put about an hour into polishing the silver. The silver wire in the pendant is super shiny, as you can see in the lens flare on the lower left.

Here's a closeup view of the purple orgonite. Again the photo isn't that great. There purples are much brighter.

And like always, the orgonite glows in the dark.

Copper Tree of Life Wire Wrap Pendant - Opalescent Orognite

Antiqued Copper Wire Wrapped Tree of Life Pendant by Tim Whetsel

Lots of new things with this new design of my tree of life pendants. First, I have created a new design for the bale. This design aims to add a more masculine touch to my jewelry. Also whats new is the knot in the tree trunk! I think it came out pretty good. Let me know what you think.

Glow in the Dark Opalescent Orgonite Tree of Life Pendant by Tim Whetsel

This is a new kind of orgonite that I made right before Christmas. I made plenty of wire wrapped tree of life pendants right before Christmas and sold all of them! Wish I made more! I do have one in my shop now. This is my new opalescent orgonite that glows in the dark. It dances with blues and greens as the light hits it and the pendant moves. I knew these opalescent orgonite cabochons where going to be a hot seller in my tree of life pendants. Since then I've made a lot more of these cabochons and will be wrapping them into pendants over the next few months. If I'm out of these, send me a message and I can make a pendant for you in a day or two.

Here is a closeup view to help show the beautiful opalescent orgonite cabochon. Photographs don't do this justice! You gotta see it in real life!

Photographing the glow in the dark orgonite can be tricky with the lights off. Sorry, this photo came out a little fuzzy.
